The Power and Paradox of our Vision

We tend to love the perfect version of beauty. At one moment, I am deeply grateful for the ability to see this beautiful world. But at other times, its unsettling how these very eyes begin to seek pleasure in what they see.

This endless seeking creates a constant need for perfection – perfect visuals, perfect moments, perfect things to capture and hold on to. Our eyes are often the first to perceive anything, even before we consciously think about it. They eat the food first, they savor the luxury first. And once they see something they like, they create a desire for it – a longing to have it, to possess it.

It’s rightly said that eyes are small yet hold the entire world within them. They are powerful and relentless in their pursuit. This is perhaps why platforms like Instagram are so captivating – they are designed to please the eyes, offering endless visuals that feed this hunger for beauty and perfection.

The Weight of Unspoken Feelings

There is so much that we carry inside – feelings so profound, so heavy, sometimes so pure. The urge to pour them out, to express them, is strong. But often, when you try to put them into words, they lose their weight, their value, their essence.

You realise you can’t fully make someone else feel what you feel, no matter how deeply it runs within you. And so, there are moments when you choose not to express it at all. You keep it within, holding it close, as if it’s true meaning can only survive in silence.

But maybe that’s okay. Maybe not every feeling needs to be shared to matter. Some are meant to simply exist, to shape us quietly from the inside.
